In Invasive Lobular Carcinoma, the loss of E-cadherin severs the cell's original belonging. To survive, many cells upregulate IGF1R as a false survival bond, and mutations in the PI3K pathway further entrench this disordered growth — pushing the cell to persist without true connection.
